Thanks to everyone that voted for The Friendship Project in the Aviva Community Awards last year. We achieved a total of 1497 votes in the Broker-submitted category (our sponsor was Arthur J Gallagher) and as our vote tally was one of the highest we were awarded £1000 to help more disadvantaged children in Warwickshire.

On March 8th 2017 our Chairman Cheryll Rawbone and Area Co-ordinators Fiona Roche and Helen Yendall were invited to the Aviva Community Fund Broker Finale event in London. It was hosted by former World Cup Rugby player and Aviva Community Fund ambassador Will Greenwood (who is himself involved in charity work through the ‘School of Hard Knocks’ project). The day was a celebration of the winners, including, of course The Friendship Project and hearing so many heartwarming stories come alive during lunch and on stage was very inspiring.
